Born in Suriname, a Dutch national, and a citizen of the world… Clarence Seedorf is known to many around the globe for his achievements as a top international footballer. Clarence is a multi-faceted entrepreneur, with a clear set of objectives, and a strong vision. His personal experience as an elite athlete galvanised his awareness of gaps in the sports and entertainment industry and prompted him to establish his own company, ON International. He has harnessed the knowledge gained during a 15-year professional playing career to make positive changes designed to benefit athletes and performers like himself.
Clarence‘s personal philosophy and his approach to business come from the laboratory of life. He has demonstrated his faith in and commitment to ON International by becoming its premier client, trusting in a talented international team that he handpicked to help realise his business dreams.
The ultimate goal of all of Clarence’s business undertakings is to make a difference on a larger scale through his foundation Champions for Children. A non-profit foundation, Champions for Children was created to support and improve the conditions in which children and young people grow up in developing countries. In particular, the foundation gives aid to countries where natural disaster, war or economic hardship has made it difficult for human beings to develop with dignity.
As a spokesperson for the Dutch Royal Football Federation (KNVB), Clarence is able to draw on his personal experiences and open doors to greater understanding. In his efforts to promote effective integration in Holland, he has in close partnership with representatives of football federation representatives, government and specialist commissions.

Chosen as the first ambassador for Goal 4 Africa, Clarence will seek to use the role to speak to the world on subjects close to his heart. The project, which kicks off in 2008 in celebration of Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday on 12 July, and which will conclude with the FIFA World Cup in South Africa, in 2010, is dedicated to building a legacy for the future of Africa by bringing together two great forces: Education and Football.
