Clarence believes that the recent Milan derby between AC and Inter was the most important match in Milan’s season so far.

It underlined AC’s title aspirations and proved that once again they are competing with their biggest rivals.

It was not only an important 3 points in terms of the race for the Scudetto but also in terms of confidence for the long season ahead.

Milan dictated the pace of the game and the result will go some way to restoring the power shift that had most certainly turned in Inter’s favour over the past few seasons.

This is the first Milan derby that Inter manager Jose Mourinho has been involved in. Jose is arguably the best known manager in the world.

Controversy and media attention is something that he has thrived on over the years, and something he uses to his advantage.

Here's Clarence’s view: “Jose is definitely having some impact here. There’s always a lot happening around him. He’s an intelligent person, he likes to say controversial things to journalists, and talk with other coaches through the media.

But I also think it is a strategy of his to keep the attention on himself and not on the team. He can take it all, he has a lot of personality, and his personality brings some flavour to the Italian league.”
